Just saying that I love this truggy and I think it is over all a great rig. As far as parts go A main and Tower (I called them) have both siad they plan on keeping parts for this thing in stock reguraly. They are just wating on the manufacturer (not trinity) to send them.
Oh I forgot mine is not stock. I do have the optional front metal uprights, but that is all.

I might be okay with the breakage, if #1 I had hit something, #2 I could get replacement parts, #3 I could get said replacements for a reasonable price. I mean come on trinkity, $26 for aluminum lower arms. $26 for front uprights, $15 for rear hub carrier. You have to be freaking kidding me. I'm done with the Now, I'm done with trinkity. I'm wiping my hands and taking this as a learning experience.

Status: offline 		I agree I'm done. I should have bought a Photon, which I found out is fully supported by a local hobby shop, but no. I didn't want some off shore knockoff. What did I get? an offshore knockoff. And no, Photon arms are too short. This is BS. I love trinitys excuses also. China shuts down for a month, blah, blah .............

Status: offline 		I contacted Trinity again about my broken parts, their advise was to buy the aluminum optional parts-but you guys are right, 15 and 29 dollars for options that are not even available, maybe we should be boiling the parts first then installing them otherwise this becomes too expensive, I can be driving a Revo for 400 dollars

Status: offline 		Ok, so I go to my local hobby store that supports the Photon. I buy the dogbones for a Vulcan and they fit. (about 6mm shorter.) with the upper camber links tightened all the way camber is OK. I had to trim down the toe links to get the toe right. Now, (Ughh) how upside down am I?? They had Photon SE's on sale for $170.00 I paid A-main $200.00 plus shipping. Another $70.00 in parts so that makes me $100.00 upside down on something i still can't get parts for. Then I go to charge the battery and it yellow lights. Trinity is even worse tha Kyosho California. I am way passed PO'ed. Don't bother boiling the parts. Wrong material.

Status: offline 		Boiling parts, actually called "moisture conditioning" is a temp fix. Any water you put in will eventually dry out. It does work well with Traxxas parts anf HPI which use a glass filled nylon. I also analyzed the NOW parts and they are over a 50% carbon load. Which is why they are so brittle, in addition they are shot way over heated adding to the problem. Check out a broken NOW part, they are full of voids from bad (china) processing. Actually I shouldn't blame China, they will make parts exactly the way you spec them. If you leave them to thier own methods, well. You get NOW parts.

Status: offline 		Im going to get the alum parts and deck this thing, if it breaks again after normal runs, Im putting it on ebay but this thing is fast and nice to drive.

Anybody figure out what wheels/tires will fit with 12mm adaptors (pin to hex) Trinity sells for these things.

If you have a set of 12mm adapters then any TC wheel should fit , maybe some RPM 2.2 rims with some proline pin tires ? Or road rage II's ?

Status: offline 		Im looking for premounted wheels and tires that people would think would improve handling, something in 12mm hex, cant find any good ones. I am not familiair with the rpm but tower says they are 12.7mm, I guess that must be a mistake

Status: offline 		Yes they should be 12mm , its kinda the standard for 1/10 wheels .

I just test fit a set of Mini Inferno buggy wheels and they fit no problem , but look small . The Mini Inferno ST wheels are bigger and wider so they shpould work out great .

Tamiya has some tires that look like they would fit the stock wheels , I think they are for the High Lift truck .

Status: offline 		Do you think it will make sense to drench the plastic parts in WD40 and let them sit, will those make the parts more durable? IMO the petroleum spirits in WD40 will degrade plastics & rubber over time, won't be too surprised if they grow hairline cracks & fractures. Trying to figure out how to keep those plastic part from breaking.

No , I dont think that would do anything . I would get the alloy front uprights (c hubs) and alloy rear bearing carriers and BOIL the rest of the plastic in water for 30 minutes . (full on rolling boil , dont worry they wont melt) Be careful not too let the water boil away !

Then drain the water and let the parts cool slowly , I have found this works very well and I havent broken an a arm since .


I got my 3 Racing Mini Vendetta ST wheels and they bolt right on no problems ! Look killer and LOTS more traction than the stockers have . But they are pin tires so they are gonna wear quick on anything except dirt or carpet .

But good news is if you find a set of wheels that fit the Mini Inferno ST they should fit the NOW also !

I have a set of Mini Inferno ST CVD's coming and I will post if they work with the ST arms on the NOW . ( a whole set of CVD's and alloy arms for the Mini Inferno ST cost as much as just the Trinity alloy a arms by themselves) !

I have metal arms now, the hub carrier cracked last week, ordered the last set from Amain and installed them, the speed on this is great but traction is poor, if I could only get a nice set of road rage wheels on a 12mm hex wheel, that might solve the problem

Status: offline 		Yep , those are the wheels . They really change the look of the truck and hook up crazy on my living room carpet .

If you bought a set and wore them down I bet they would be good on the street , that or get the 12mm adapters for the Mini Inferno and get some 1/10 wheels .

But I bet they are smaller than the 3 Racing ones .
