Ok, i emailed trinity about the noise and they said it was normal becasue brushless motor is connected to the spur gear...does that make sense?

It is pretty loud right at the spur/pinion gear , it also has open diffs which make it a little louder .

Just make sure the spur/pinion mesh is good and you'll be OK .

And also in the RC Car Action Mini magazine it said that it would come with a clip on heatsink, but mine did not. Did anyones come with one? Its fine without one but i was just wondering.

Ok , here is what I am thinking is wrong with the pinion/spur mesh , I think they have the wrong pitch spur on these ! (yes I roached my spur gear doing high speed runs!)

I pulled out a spur gear for my RC18 and modified it too fit on the Trinity and its MUCH quieter now and I made alot of high speed runs to see if it would strip again and it still looks new !

Only trouble is the RC18 spur is thinner so it flexes a little when I tighten the slipper clutch so it wobbles some , but its rolling smooth and always making contact with the pinion gear .

hey guys i got 175 to tower for x-mas and im considering one of these........or a vendetta st......but for the vendetta st to be good to go you need the ball diffs, CVDs, a new battery, and the servo hold down.

the now seems pretty sick, i have a brushless mini-t but 2wd and a super light truck means only good for speed runs

How durable is the NOW has anyone jumped it a decent height? crashed it much?

I understand the small problem is the motor screws need loctite......hell thats nothing compared to the problems i had when i bought the first MLST......the friggin wheels cracked.......thats a bug.......screws needing loctite is standard procedure for a RTR

I just got this for xmas. I was very excited about this one because of all the metal gears. Guess what? One of the parts that need to be hard steel the most is a fake! The damn out drives on the diffs. Even on tower's site it says metal out dirve! But it's not! It's plastic with a metal collar! I did not even get one pack thru it before it broke. I mean come on, you tout all this metal and go and cheez out on a small simple part like this. Come on Trinity, I am so pissed off right now.

Here is what I did to mine.
