I ordered parts for my GT from VS. I ordered the upper and lower control arms for the front. I went ahead and stepped up to the aluminum arms from FG. I also found out that Hobbpro makes aluminum supension parts but they were not able to get them to me as fast. They are eight dollars cheaper then the FG parts. I also ordered new wheels and tires; the Kronoso 20s for the rear and the Kronosos 27s for the front. I decided to get these ove the Eclipse because the gentleman at VS said that I would get a longer tire life out of the Kronoso. At 160 bucks a set the longer tread life the better. Once I get those on and get the suspension set up I'll give updates letting everybody know if the cars handles better. Next is going to be rear aluminum upper and lower supports and new springs and shocks. Should be interesting!!!!

You will find the shocks are good just use shorter FG springs.

I cut two coils off my springs and went with a lighter oil. Worked out well.

Been out of pocket lately. Ok, I have now replaced the front and rear suspension with the FG aluminum. Still using the stock shocks. I have yet to drive the car with the new parts including tires. I ended up replacing the rear suspension parts much sooner then I wanted. I did the intelligent manuever and let a friend drive the car after I finished the front end. To my surprise (sarcasm) within 30 seconds of him taking control a curb jumped out and slamed into the left rear. Broke enough parts that I decided to replace it all with aluminum. Everything swaped over with ease. I hope to take it for a test drive today and see how it handles with the new tires that I have yet to use. I'll keep you posted. Any comments on the tuned pipes that are available from FG. BTW, the guys at VS Modelsports are top notch. I can only give them the highest praises!!

Well, have yet to take it out for a test run. The high here today was a whopping 32 so I opted out. Hopefully tomorrow will bring the upper 40s as perdicted and then a run might be warranted. Probably switch back to the stock tires though.

I am also considering getting one of these. As far as parts go I see people mentioning VS. Who is VS? I've seen video of this thing running and it looks like a blast and for less than 700, wow. Does anyone know anything about Hobby Pro? Anyone had to deal with them for warranty or any issues?

I've never delt with hobbypro on any issue so I have no idea what the company is like. When you see the manual you'll understand. I tried to do business with JHC Developement Enterprise, Inc. and had less then stellar results. Enough said. I take that back, If you are to look on their website it shows a replacement body for $60. This was not the case in my situation, it is well above $60, hence why I cancelled my order. There are other reasons too but who cares. Its not worth the time.

VS stands for VS model sport racing http://www.vsmodelsport.com/ They sell the car but also deal in the high end cars. I have had nothing but stellar service from them. They have sat on the phone with me while I flounder about looking for part names and have gone above and beyond when it comes to helping me become more knowledgeable about the cars (this is well after five their time on a Friday). No question is to dumb for them. Atleast they don't voice it. VS also has the aluminum parts made by Hobbypro for the Hobbypro car, which I didn't know existed, as well as the FG parts which also fit the car at a much higher price. Alot of the parts are interchangeable and the guys at VS will let you know what does and doesnt fit if you choose the FG route. If you were to do that just buy a car made buy FG.

The Hobbypro car is a blast. If you are looking for fun at a small expense, as far as these cars go, its a great buy. Don't forget, if you do buy one, save yourself alot of grief and go through tightening all screws and nuts before you ever hit the road. Loctite is your friend.

Pertaining to my previous post, Besides the suspension parts I have changed, the tires that I put on the car are the difference between night and day!! Spend the money and upgrade immediately!!!! Any thoughts on pipes?

Yeah Brian...I CANT WAIT!!!! All I need is to order the kronos tires and new radio equipment and I should be all good. Im very interested to see if all the adjustments that ive been making on the car will make it hook up like it should instead if of just sliding around like its running on ice. I also just picked up a 1/8 hydro boat. Got it new off ebay a few days ago. Totally stripped it so I can repaint it next weekend. I wasnt happy with the paint job or the graphics that it came with. Im also going to replace the radio and servos that came with it as well as the engine, pipe, and prop. I found out that there's a club where they race at Hempstead Lake so i'll be heading out there on saturdays and sundays with the car at the train station. Im really glad that my girl RARELY has weekends off so I dont have to deal. She's just pissed that im spending all this money and we're getting married in October. OH WELL!!!!! LOL Hows that MT you got??

The truck is awesome. It's just not for me. I bought it 2 months ago and upgraded the crap out of it (aluminum arms, hubs, 4wd kit, 2 Chevy bodies etc.) and with the on-road season coming I know I'm never going to touch it so it's actually in the classified section right now. I'm getting rid of it with the upgrades for less than I bought it for! Not smart, I know, but I just want it out of my garage so I don't spend anymore money on it!!
