3 in 1 is the best shock oil known. All Hail to 3 in 1!!!! BTW you were right about my engine problem. The sprark plug was dead. It was brand new so it had to be something else. Oh well. The car is turning out to be pretty amazing. New items comming, hopefully by Friday. Clutch and some odds and ends. I'll try to get some pics. Thanks for your help!!!

Cool Jason!!! Your lucky that you live where you do. The weather must be nice down there. We're all still waiting for winter to give up and let spring happen. Im gonna be getting that 8000 rpm clutch spring next week so we'll see how that goes. Im also going to remove the rear sway bar. Besides the car, im also doing up a 1/8 scale hydroplane boat. If it ever warms up outside i'll be able to shoot some paint on it and put all the decals on. The last time I had a boat was 1988....and that thing was a dog compared to what this baby is gonna do. Yeah, its one of those boats from China, but the hull looks like it full size counterpart, built well and very light. Naturally, all of the radio gear, engine, prop, and flexshaft went into the garbage so it can be replaced with the good stuff. There are a couple of lakes nearby that race these, but I have to get it to run in the mid 60's in order to be competitive. Anyway, have fun working on your ride. Im gonna try to get some pics of mine on here too.

Hey Johnny, it's Brian, did you see the pics of my F1? Picked it up last week. Can't wait to run that thing. Anyway, you're going to be really happy with that clutch spring. 8000 rpm's is the perfect engagement point. You're going to be amazed at how much it's going to wake that motor up. Oh, and I have a front swaybar for you if you need it.

P.S. I changed my username last week also. This was the only forum that I had a different username so I switched it.

Oh yes, that F1 is awesome!!! Your gonna have fun with that one. I'll buy that front sway bar from ya for sure. The place I ordered the new tires from only had the rears. So, im gonna run the stock fronts until the rears wear out then hopefully i'll be able to get all four at the same time......unless Allan bought all the available tires already!!! LOL

Hey Johnny, Go to innovativehobby.com They have the Kronos tires and wheels that I bought for $73 for $57 plus what seems to be like some other good deals. I think they a associated with Largescalerc.com. They also carry GRT tires.

Hello to all, FYI and we have all said this...Junk the OEM tires, they are a joke. I cant believe they send the car out with those tires, they are horrible. It makes it real easy to think the car is a piece of junk out of the box. When I first got my car I didn't change tires right away, what a mistake!! I drove on them and incurred a few whacks into curbs as others did as well but thanks to the post I changed them thinking the tires cant make that big of a difference. I finally had the chance today to go out and take the car for a hard run. There is an old abandon r/c track here in Albuquerque that I went to to see how it did on a track or what is left of the track. lol. The course was alot more technical then I had expected and I couldn't really ring the car out so I hit the parking lot for some high speed passes. I have to say, once you get the carb dialed in the car flies!!!! I brought it in to give it a quick once over, made a few adjustment and took off noticeing a weird noise. One of the rear wheel square drivers came loose and was spinning on the hub which caused the nut to spin right through the wheel of my Kronos tire. I Loaded up and went home to check the damage but wanted to drive some more. I tightened the set screws and I changed the rears tires back to the OEM tires and hit it. I can't believe how S----y those tire our. unbelieveable!! The point is this...Get new tires ASAP. Do Not drive the car with the OEM's on it. You will hate it and in most cases you will wreck your new car.

Talk at ya!! J.
