Status: offline 		I am finishing up my first Carden 260 40% build and have a couple of set-up questions for those of you that have done it before.
1. Choke set-up Do you just drop a 4-40 rod down through a grommet on the cowl?
2. Where are you running the gas vent tube?
3. This is also my first three blade prop. Do you set the blade position to be straight up on compression. Another words 12-4-8 or 2-6-10.
That's it for now. Pictures would be great.
Oh and has anyone put air in a Kavan 5" tire before?

yes or use a servo operated choke

out the bottom of the cowl or down the firewall

I maidened the plane this Christmas weekend and had a very good first flight.
I ran the three blade prop 2-6-10 as most recommended and that worked well.
Ran a 4-40 rod down through the cowl with a grommet. Since the arm is straight up when open I drilled my first hole too far back and it kinda jambed when closing the choke.
I drilled another hole further forward and that worked much better.
I ran the vent tube down through the motor box and beside the canisters. I didn't think the cans got hot enough to melt the Tygon tubing so I didn't do anything to protect the tube.
When refueling after the second flight the fuel spit back at me, meaning a pressurized tank. I had let the tubing touch the can and it melted shut.
I have since added a clamp to get it away from the can.
Thanks for the advice but seems I aways learn the hard way.
