I just picked up a couple Great Planes fuel filters and had some questions about installation. Where is the best place to install the filter, in the middle of the fuel line, closer to the gas tank or closer to the carb???? Do I need to shorten or match the fuel lines or do I just cut the line and slap it in??

Pretty sure it doesnt matter where the filter is, just so its doin its job for the fuel goin to the carb. Just make em short enough so they don't get in your way and you should be set.

I run them in the middle, so they are easy to get at and clean!

So is it simple to add. Just snip the line and plug in the filter?

I just got my fuel filter. which direction do I put the filter in? I open it up and there is a metal filter and then a spring. does the spring side go toward the hispeed valve?

I mount mine on my center diff plate. Although I don't know which vehicle you have. You should use a long fuel line so that when your vehicle flips and the fuel pick up at the bottom of the tank can't draw fuel there is enough in the line to run for 30 second or so, that way you or a turn marshall can get to you vehicle before it stalls. (don't go crazy with fuel line)

The fuel filter question has been answered, feel free to take over. I am curious myself, how much do you get for your steel braided kit?? You should invest in some black zip ties . They look great man, nice job!
