My brain is worn from spading all weekend. I need a half gallon fuel tank that will fit in a tool box. Any Ideas. I tried a squatty i gallon talk from walmart but it was 1 inch to tall. Are all plastic jugs fuel proof??

Thanks Dan

Go to your local grocery store/dollar store/Walmart and get yourself a 2 quart drink bottle made by Rubbermaid. Retail is around $3.95. It's rectangular in shape, and has a twist top with a capped hole for use with what it was intended for, that is juice, tea, etc. Very compact. Has measurements molded in the bottle itself. Get a Dubro or similar gas can fitting kit, drill a couple of holes, put the fittings in, add your filtered pick up line, and BINGO, you are almost done..... I "Goop" the threads of the bottle and the little cap so that they are permanently attached. Two years have passed with no runs, drips, or errors. Half a gallon is a lot of fuel, and of course, you can always tote along more if you need it. I have been very pleased.

Similar to the Rubbermaid juice jug, I have a Nalgene 2-liter (~1/2 gal) container that fits perfectly in my flight box. The cap seals very well, and I have nylon quick-connects in the lines so I can disconnect and seal the lines when not in use.

I got the Nalgene bottle at an outdoor store; it's used with backpacking.
