I have recently heard that you can fix the compression on a old engine by a sleeve pincher. I amd wondering were you can buy one, how much and mabe if there is a home made way to pinch sleeves.

www.rayaracing.com

i beleive it costs about $20-25 to have it shipped there, have it pinched, and then sent back, its well worth it because they know how to do it right, i have seen a few of those little do it yourself pinchers on ebay but its been a while, let a pro do it

If you mean you like to buy a sleeve pincher then I'd tell you to not do it unless you buy the real deal, that's a several 100 $$$ deal and that stuff is good.
If you're thinging of getting one of the clamps for $20 then don't. I got one just to see how bad it was and it was REALLY BAD. There is no way to control the roundness of the liner.

Basically it's pure crap. Send it to someone who uses the right tools instead and don't mess with the cheap clamps.

I'd like to know where you buy the "right tools" regardless of price. :-)

http://www.rayaracing.com/example.htm Shows a price on one of his "packages" and you can send him engine specs and he'll send you a quote for what you need.
