I am going to get a slow stick 300 to play around with in the backyard, but I am unsure what size battery to purchase. I already have a Hitec mini 6s rx, 2 HS55's, and a c-12 esc. I also have a Nimh charger so that narrows it down a bit. I was also wondering what kind of range I can get out of the 6s. I don't need to go far(only have a couple acres), but I want to know the limit of the receiver before I figure it out the hard way.

If you want to keep the SS light and get about 10 -12 minutes of flight time, a 7 cell (8.4V), 650-700 mAh 2/3 AA battery is a good bet. It's what I used for the first year of flying my SS.

Here's a link to the battery (KAN700AA). Look down the page. KAN has a good reputation.

Price is pretty good and I've always received my packs within a week of ordering them (may not be realistic at this time of year, though).

Here's a link to the battery that I used, though it's no longer available at Tower. That shape worked well for me.
