Setting up a new plane with dual elevators and came across a problem. The right side elevator is elevator channel. I went into ATV and increased until I got max throw. I then did a Pmix on 6 and brought in the left ele servo. Problem I am having is the left isnt going up as far as right and I am maxed out on pmix value. I went to atv on aux2 but it wont let me increase or decrease throw. the only way I can get them to match is bring the atv back down on right ele servo but I would like to have full throw on both. Is there a way to increase throw on the aux2 ele servo?

Thanks

Z

Dual-Elevator Mixing

The TX can do dual elevators easily. The ONLY mixes that "master" trim into BOTH channels are Mix 5 and 6. Use one of them.

Doing dual elevators, the "elevator" Travel adjust sets BOTH as soon as the mixing is turned ON, and the second channel (AUX2) travel adjust will have NO effect. It's supposed to work that way.

Both channel "sub trims" ***DO*** work, and may be used to fine tune centers, if you cannot do it mechanically.

If you cannot get identical travel mechanically after Mixing is setup, set the OVERALL deflection using the "Elevator" Travel ATV.

Adjust the "MIX Volume" (percents in the Mix function) to alter the SECOND channel, either less than 100% or up to +125% of throw. This adjustability SHOULD get all but the crappiest dual elevator setups matched.

You WILL find that the elevator halves track much more closely with the DX 7. You may not "see" it, or "feel" it, but it's there. It is decreased "latency" and has been designed in to how the TX sends those channels to the RX, and the timing of the pulses.

It's tighter, faster, and better than any others I have ever had.

Thanks for the response. When I set it up initially, I set the atv on right elevator before setting the mix. Should I set the mix and then go into ele atv? Both elevators match well until final throw and the right has much more and there is more for the left elevator to go, servo just wont send it that far.

You probably have a problem in your linkage -
I know the radio is supposed to solve all problems but - naw -they won't
Do this: setup two servos (same type same arms ) lying on your bench with both arms up and facing each other
Mix the el and 6 make sure all trims and includeds are OFF in the basic setup for aux channel
The default mix will 0if both arms are on same center to start -- follow perfectly full up and down at full throw
IF- you then stick those servos -with the arms unchanged -in th plane-- the servos should still throw the same
any error is in the linkage-- fix it there !
Once you get into sub trim - etc., all bets are off.
