I bought a brand new Sava electric and when you pull the throttle trigger the truck hesitates and sometimes won't even move. I have not owned a Rc car in quite a few years. I was thinking that the electronic speed contol is the issue. Is there anyone out there that can give me some advise.

Hey saulimon,

Santa left us a Exceed Dynanite Monster truck, which I believe is similar to your truck. The 7.2 volt battery that came with the truck wouldn't even run it across the carpet (battery with full charge). The thing would just hesitate and cog. I thought the thing had an elctronics problem. I put in an radio shack battery and the thing left a burn out when it took off. It goes across the grass full speed. Looks like the batteries that come with it may be suspect. Hope this helps!

Booney

i have a very simular story, but no burn outs with the radio shack 3300. you really need a better battery with these cars. much fun.

Tashpop,
No real burnout, just on some loose dirt. But the new battery really made a difference in the truck.

Did you get a good run time out of the radio shack 3300? I was using a radio shack nicd 2000 and was getting about 10 mins.

hi im don, im new to to the nitro world and found this forum on a search engine. i bought the 1:10 scale exceed baja infinity. I took it out for the first real off road run and broke it. Needless to say it was very fun and now i have a busted truck. I searched my local hobby stores only to find out that they have never herd of exceed. so i was wondering what parts if any will fit my truck? , or do i have to order from the exceed web site. i have already ordered some aluminum rear uprights and plan to upgrade to all aluminum parts. i would apreciate any feed back you may have, new member Don.

FYI on Exceed RC 1/10 Electric truck... I purchased 4500mah 7.2v putting out 40A and it flies now. Only thing to watch out is running it too long... 4500mah will give you long run time, but be sure to let the motor & servo cool. I've caught my engine smoking a couple times already!

I upgraded my battery to a 4600 and it does fly way faster. I also put in a 12 turn motor (I upgraded my ESC) and I burnt out the motor in one day. I've got the stock back on and it runs fine. I'm probably going to go to a 17 turn. What is the stock motor with regard to turns? Is it 27?

I'm runnign a 17 turn motor in a truggy with an upgraded speed control & 5000mha battery and a 17t drive gear. My truck flyes!
I lowered the gear because the 17t has less torque but man does that thing spin!

It is so fast and powerful that it spins all 4 wheels at full throttle in grass and gravel at speed.

Good fun!

Dusty

Exceed RC electric cars can be upgraded easily because the chasis is nitro spec and not cheap plastic.

Thanks

most electrics are plastic or carbon fiber because of the weight issue

I've had my Dynamite EP Truck running with the Venom 13d motor and 4600 nihm battery for about 4 weeks now and with no problems at all. I have however broken the following pieces quit a bit, but I've been smashing it around only on cement and the temperature has been an average of -10. I'm glad that i have mine for sure!!!!!

1 Spare Part Xtreme (51C06): Rear axes holder4*4-2PCS
1 Spare Part Xtreme (51C06): steering arm*1SET
1 Spare Part Xtreme (51C06): Door type mounts*2pcs

Gets lots of these parts if you can. These trucks are fine... you just have to stay on top of them. I can't wait until the summer because where I live, there are like 2 awesome skate parks and a wicked modernized quarry. I have a new video up on Youtube from last weekend. check it out

I know... its crazy how the cold weather makes it good for some parts ( motor ) but ruins it for other parts ( composite plastic ). I think that my girlfriends fingers were worse off than mine when holding the camera
