Opened my new Xmas present today, (couldn't wait for Santa). Just wondering whether they are out in the States yet?

Just got mine, I was surprised at how sluggish it is, but moving the cyclic rods out by one hole on the servo arms has made it feel controllable.

had to reposition the body to stop the rods fouling the rear section of the body.

Balancing the blades made a difference too.

These little changes made the model more enjoyable to fly and I must admit I love it.

I'll give that a try, I thought mine was a bit sluggish, especially when it's bit breezy.

Hi, i have just got a Skylift and i found what you said about the cyclic controls very interesting, can you elaborate?
Im new to the hobby, have about 5 rc choppers & i like the twister brand alot as it allows my to add lights & customise them quite easily without experience.

Thanks!

Hi, if you are finding that you have to give full forward and side motion on your Tx and the Heli barely moves.

On each rotor head look at the cyclic connecting rods and follow them down to a right angled pivot point you can move the rod outwards on that arm, try moving it out one hole first and see if you notice a difference, if not try one more.

You need to do this on the two front and the two rear rods to keep it all equally adjusted.

If you overdo the adjustment I think it would cause blade clash and could easily stall the blades as you become more confident in throwing it around, so I would only move it one hole at a time.

I hope this is helpful

Thanks simplyraptor, i dont know what its doing yet as im still trying to perfect the hover. At the moment it is hovering quite gently but it spins clockwise slowly. what do you think is the best way to stop this? The sliders on the controller are not making to much difference.
Cheers,
Iecabus

Mine was the same, if you look through the side windows where the green LED is you will see two screws, one is the gyro gain adjustment which you shouldn't need to touch, the other is the yaw adjustment which is marked as proportional with a + and a -

If you mark the screws existing position with a felt tip this will mark your reference point, make small adjustment to negative side first and retry flying and see if its improved the turning effect of the heli when hovering, if its worse go to the positive side and retry again.

Every time you make an adjustment you must disconnect the battery then reconnect, this resets the 4 in 1 unit to the new settings.

Do you find that the Heli barely moves when you try to make it go forwards, backwards or sideways????? from what I understand these twisters come from the factory set up for beginners so I think this why the controls feel so sluggish.

I forgot to mention that the trims on your transmitter must be central when you make the adjustments, have fun.

I have heard that there is going to be a battery upgrade in a couple of months, nothing out yet though.

Hopefully flight power will produce an evolite upgrade battery as they did for the cx2/twister, but I suspect that depends on how popular the skylift becomes!! there are batteries out there you can use but it depends on the weight and size and how much you have to modify the chassis.

I have two of the standard 800mah batteries and get reasonable flight times, about 5 or 6 minutes, but the batteries get fairly hot.
