Looks like it is time to move up from 2 to 3 channels. Was looking at the 3-channel version of Wing Dragon when I stumbled across the FLY DRAGON. Same plane? Seems to be much cheaper. Anyone w/ any experience w/ this one?

Does it come w/ a good transmitter?

Thanks!

Don't know about the plane, but the transmitter in on the 27 MHz frequency. The Wing Dragon and Wing Dragon 4 uses 72 MHz equipment.

It's up to you if you want to take a chance with the 27 MHz stuff.

I have been flying the Wing Dragon from Hobby Lobby for about a year - it was actually my first plane and I have been able to teach myself to fly with it. I feel like the Wing Dragon was a good choice and I am looking forward to going to a 4 channel in the spring. I saw the Fly Dragon online for $35 and ordered one, mostly for parts. It is definitely a much cheaper version and I wouldn't recommend it as an upgrade. It works for me as a parts plane - I swapped all the old electronics into the new fuselage - which was a good learning experience. I even had the pleasure of doing some modifications to the new fuselage so that it would fit the dihedral of the wing better.
