Hitec Eclipse 7 seems to be a popular "entry level" choice for CP helis along with the RD6000 - course you can pay "megabucks" for much higher spec radios like the Futaba 9 etc.

I have a Futaba 9CHF on order which I initially was going to use on a Rapter 30 V2 but now I cant decide between a smaller Voyager E and the Raptor. I'm afraid the R30 will be too big and loud for park flying around the neighborhood. Regardless, I've been advised that I cant loose with a 9C and it just might be the last radio I purchase for a long time. I plan on using it on Realflight G2 until I decide on which type of heli to get.

Any input?

The Airtronics RD 6000 Super is an awesome radio! CCPM compatible 90, 120 and 180, 5 pt. throttle and pitch curves, 4 flight modes, remote gyro control, throttle cut off etc. etc. etc. Just a great quality radio with just about everything most people will ever need, I know I won't ever need another radio, and it's under $300. and has worked out flawlessly for me thus far.

I am going to vote for the Eclipse. The price is definantly right and it has all the same stuff the RD600 has. Plus now they can be upgraded to PCM! I own 2 eclipses and one of them is going back for this upgrade. Plus the eclipse has the spectra module. Gotta love being able to fly on all freq's....
