What does it cost to get in are you supposed to have advance tickets. I have never been to Joe Nall but I think I might try to go Saturday.

Give me a call some time and we can meet at the Huntersville club, I'm at Triple Tree starting tomorrow morning, if you see some big yellow and red Quakers, old timers, that's me stop and say hi.

I'm not sure if the distance would be all that different, but the drive to the York County field would certainly be much more pleasant from South Charlotte. I live in Fort Mill and the field is about 17 miles one way. Not too many choices from the South side....The Charlotte Aeromodeler's are 40 miles away and the thought of driving through Charlotte every time I want to fly leaves me cold. I sure miss the old Charlotte Aeromodeler's field off Shopton RD!!!!

York County Fliers has a very good group of people and put on a couple of good fun flys. Being a club they have official instructors and some of the things we don't at Huntersville. The Huntersville park is just that, to fly you send a copy of your AMA and $20 and get a park pass for the year. We have paved runways and CL circles but no water or electricity. We have a nice shelter and do have The flying Aces Club that uses the park as their home base. See you at Nall!!!

Well, after all this, I guess I'm not going... worked about 240 hours in the last four weeks, and between that and the kids I couldn't get things ready. If I can't fly, it's not worth using an entire weekend's worth of valuable spouse points just to spectate. Oh well, maybe next year...

OK guys what's the deal. I emailed someone on the joe nall web page and asked how much it was to get in before I thought to ask here. They replied $45.00 to get in one day is that right.
