Very cool pics Ken! Gotta love it. I like the idea of your real chopper painted like the b400. That'd be a site to see Keep it coming and stay safe!

Thanks for everything you all do.

Uri

Kenn,

Which guy is you? What is that on top of the rotors and does it spin with the rotors? We all enjoy pictures of everything over there. Especially with helicopters in the photos!

All - Thanks for the warm comments. We’ll keep the pictures coming as long as we end up having similar wok/off times here and there.

Randy and Uri – One of the real ones is on the way to the paint booth as we speak…LOL. I guess it’ll be easier to spot and shoot if it was painted like the B400…don’t want that.

Shane – I’m excited to see if the CNC parts fit well with the #4. I’m also looking at getting some upgrades whenever I can get this thing up in the air…LOL

Mark – We didn’t have all of them running at once, but I did have mine up with one of the new guys flying. Just to prove that one can fly 2 Spektrums at the same time. And no – no more repeats of the Belt CP vs. B400 thing – not something you want to see all the time – a onetime see only.

Max – I’m the second one from the left. The ball on top is called the Mast Mounted Sight (MMS). It is used for TV, thermal sighting, and laser operations. It doesn’t spin with the rotors, for it sits on a hollow shaft that comes from the inside of the mast (or main shaft for RC). Basically, it’s like a CX, but only the outer part rotates for the rotors.

I cant wait for the cnc parts also! I'm curious how they will fit on the #4 also. I think shane might get his before me, so maybe (im sure he will) tell us if they fit or not.

Michael

So you gotta be kidding me. You have a choice of thermal sighting, and laser operations OR watching TV? How's the reception from the ball. I guess if the tv signal is bad you can just move - a liiittttle bit left and just a touch up - NO NO NO, not too much up. That's dangerous - but ya gotta get a good picture.

sorry. It's just me.

If thats the case, I guess you can only get local programming, which would not be very satisfying or even in a language you can comprehend

Hmmm. I hadn't considered that, Michael. Sort of takes all the fun out of it.
What say you, Kenn? How's TV in that part of the world? I'm guessing it's not "Fair and Balanced".

I'm lovin' the new CP! Flew 12-packs in the living room tuning, and getting the feel of the new heli.

Today it was a beautiful sunny day with light wind so I took the Mini Titan out to the backyard! All I can say is WOW! I am shocked at how stable this thing is! Even with wind gust coming and going the heli never seemed to change it's attitude. Just hover, piro, and slowly feel it's way around the back yard I don't know if this is everyones impression of flying their first 450-class CP, but I am really blown away at the stability!

Spot landing in a little wind is no longer a struggle like with the little FP, this thing just sits down nicely without any dancing around in ground effect

Local programming here is crapola! The MMS would be awesome if it picked up some TV stations – I guess it would compensate for the heat in flight – NOT!!! We do have Armed Forces Network that is pumped from Germany. All our commercials are military related, because they can’t show regular commercials on the air here. We get the entire news one after the other in one channel and some streamline shows that they think people watch. The locals actually have a bunch of channels on their TV.I think they get some 200+ channels from their dish. We’d fly over remote villages and what do you see? A satellite system…GEEZ! I guess they have their priorities. I actually haven’t watched TV other than what they show in the chow hall in a couple of months.

Randy – I’m glad you got a bunch of flying time and some outside flying with the Mini Titan. I'm all excited for you. I remember the feeling of flying a bigger heli coming from a CX2 - WOW! One of our guys who could barely keep his Falcon 40 can actually hover his B400 for the whole pack (almost). Those big helis are so nice to fly.

Gene- I could mount a cam on the B400 here, but all you’d see is a different angle of the picture I sent…LOL. Not much to se but farms and dirt. Oh and of course mud huts with satellite systems…LOL

Kenn - You are not missing much not having TV! Funny how we have all these channels and yet there is never "anything on" I'm not very diverse with my TV interest so maybe it's different for others??? I raced Motocross for years so I like to watch/record the National Motocross & Supercross series races on Speed channel. Watch a little various stuff on Speed, Discovery, Military, and huntin'/fishin' channels and that's about it for me.

I still think you should push for some "hot" graphics on your real heli! The enemy would enjoy it to much to think about shootin' it down

Gene - Are you moving from helis to fixed wing? You haven't been hangin' much in here I wondered what was up with you

Afternoon all. Hope you are all having a good weekend so far.

Finally got hold of my new control rings last night. Got the Falcon back in the air and she's flying great again aside from the lack of motor power. At least the CPP motor can get i
