Hi i am will

i havent been on here in a long time

i went to a shop in london with my uncle and bought an X-Twin biplane

i know it is probably rubbish to start with but I could control it very well considering it ws blowing a force 2 gusting 3 (moderate wind/breeze)
considering it weighs nothing i thought that was good going considering i crashed twice due to lack of speed and its loopy flying where it goes up, stalls and swoops back up

anyways bck to topic, i want to get a better plane. I have fields and parks within 2 mins walk of my house and i want to have a starter electric plane.

i have upto about £100 maybe £120 at a push (so i can save for a better plane later if i want)

i live in th uk so uk shop links if you decide to link please (or us/japanese manufcturer links)

i have had a look at some reviews and QEFI mag and have seen a few options

CC Lee Staggerwing C-17??

Parkzone FW190
Parkzone Spit

ST models Skymaster
ST Cessna

any other ideas???]

Please help

Will

Hi Will.
Check out the Super cub.
I have just seen this on ebay. It's the cheapest i've seen for the cub in the UK.

Hi Will,

Welcome to R/C flying!

The two best beginner planes are the HobbyZone SuperCub and the Multiplex EasyStar. I'm not sure of their price / availablity in the U.K.

Other decent beginner planes are the Aerobird3, T-hawk, SkyFly, Wingo, Slo-Stick and Slow-V.

Except for the SuperCub, most of these are not good looking planes, but they do a good job allowing a beginner to learn how to fly. The SuperCub is unique in that it is a great trainer, yet looks like a real plane and has very good performance to keep you interested well past the beginner level. (If you get the SuperCub, avoid using the ACT feature.)
