Soldering the wires is the best method. The bullet connectors are only for convenience so you can swap motors quickly but they degrade performance.

You will need a UBEC if you are going to use 4S on the ESC. It's also best to replace the capacitors with better qaulity ones.

Wow I haven't charged up my vehicle for a while. What I remember is after soldering on the two large caps and one on the battery it did work better and smoother but im still resetting the ESC when I press full throttle at start and hold it even when it cogs. If I do 75% then quiclky to 100% it is fine. So will soldering the motor straight to the leads help? right now I have'em on the bullet connectors and honestly i dont know if I did a good job on that either.

and with 3s lipo do i still need ubec?
from modellfun they tell me i need to disconnect the red wire of the esc since the internal bec can“t be disconnected with the programmig card.. this for 4s lipo...

about the capacitors lamps are they easy to find and solder there?

regards

Seriously don't think anyone has one of these. I have not seen them before your post. Looks like worth trying for the price.

I've seen them, but haven't bothered purchasing one. It's just a bit cheaper then a mamba sidewinder.

Sidewinder is 1/18th no?
I ran my 8.4v Propels with my current esc and it got hot as hell, albeit it was around 75 degrees out and humid. It ran ok for 10 minutes and then it just seems the batteries are dead. Is that normal?
I still have to trigger my throttle to get to top speed, as if im shifting in second, could it be the esc is limiting my amp draw?

I forgot, what is a good fan to use on this system? Does it really help or it's just a superficial device that takes a 1 minute or two off my run time? thanks.

On 9Volts and a c40 12t hacker motor, the esc stays cool. Anything more power hungry and the esc heats up.

Sidewinder will work on 1/10 scale as well.

I think their are two versions. One for 1/10th and for only 1/18?

Ha I had it on Low timing, it's on mid now and it seems better testing it at home. Ganna go out now and test it though it just rained (which actually makes it more fun).
I jumped on the EZRUN 60A 380A burst deal, I might burn the fan for fun or see if it works with a resistor in series (I'll do the math now) for my 7 cell pack. $63 with shipping but same story from china. We'll see.
If it's good I'm ganna use my current esc for my Hummer with a Feigao 5100kv motor and lower the gear ratio heavily.

Well my crappy esc that I never got to work properly shorted out a wire on the PCB that connects the plus side to the ecu. I was able to run a wire too see if it would work again and it does but I cant leave a strain of wire hanging and I'm too lazy to fix this pos correctly for now.
I ordered the EZRUN based on some research showing that the chip similar or the same to it used going to be used in Orion's "cheap esc" units and that hobby-wing is reliable. Also the manual is well documented and it is fully programmable via led light although slightly difficult with out a program card. Do you think this program card will work on it? Well I'll find out.

Does anyone know what motor timing I should use for the 3300KV motor and the Feigao 540 7S 5070KV motor? Would 0 degrees give m max efficiency?

Here's the link to the manual: long all-star game ey?

Thanks.

EZRUN 60A/380burst ESC

motor

Feigao 540S motors

Happy?
From China takes 2 weeks to arrive from the time you order at least to me (nyc) and I did not test this one yet. The first one kinda sucked for me though its motor is great.
