Status: online 		I put the tap on the header opposite the exhaust port or at the apex of the pipe. On the Outlaws I put it on the header, the aluminium is thicker there and it holds up longer. Use JB Weld around it.

Pile driver, point her straight down get some speed then chop throttle, full down, full right aileron, and full left rudder.... stops on a dime. Just as fun is a reverse pile driver fast fly in from the left or right, at center stage point it straight up, at the same time cut throttle, wait till she climbs about 50 feet and do the same thing. After she's done flipping nail the throttle and give it full up elevator and full left rudder and you exit into a flat spin.... Timeings everything...

I think I'll go with freakin and use a 90 at the apex. I didn't read macs suggestions on there website about placement until just now when I went to look for the fitting. I still think they should include it with the header and pipe though.

Cline and Irongate regulators(on demand types) are fantasic systems for stock carbs and have their place but I don't think this is one of them. Both end up costing about $ 70 with shipping and fittings. Time for a low cost China copy? Hint, Hint.

The fuel tank on the Outlaw is close, small and well centered with the carb and a pump isn't needed. It just adds weight. Same thing goes for both types of Perry pumps but if you did use one, you should use a carb thats designed for pump pressure, like a Perry "PUMP" carb or the mid range would be so fat the engine won't transition to high speed well or the engine would just choke and stop.

Do try to lightly stuff some strips of Dubro foam rubber around the tank, but there is only about an 1/8" on the top and botton of the tank in an Outlaw.

By the way, isn't that a crazy place they put the antenna tube? It could have came through the shear web just next to it.

Status: offline 		The problem with fuel fed motors in this plane is it does'nt matter, even with a pump, that you cannot overcome the high G manuevers and its effect on atmospheric pressure to push your fuel to the carb. Bladders will soon be in your vocabulary,,,, or perhaps as I did, AMPS, OH YEA........100oz of thrust and 54oz ready to fly weight.

Status: offline 		What would be the better engine a OS .25FX or a Tunder Tiger .36PRO? I have has great results with the TT .46 on my laser arrow, never messed with the .36. Yes I know the .36 is is bigger than the .25, but the .25FX is pretty powerfull for its size.

Status: offline 		Without a shadow of a doubt, the TT .36 Pro is a better engine. Install a mousse can pipe or better a tuned pipe and you're not far from the optimum setup.

Status: offline 		I have had great results using the jett tuned muffler. with the engine mounted on the side on the outlaw will the jett muffler clear the top of the plane. I have never made a mouse can. what would be the right stuff to use for the tt 36 such as can size header length and prop?

Status: offline 		Something caught my eye on the latest Outlaw vid (with Rob Vess). It seems as if Robert Vess uses a Vess prop on his ... I've checked the Vess props web site, and no such tiny prop is listed. Are they currently experimenting small props ? How do they perform versus apc ??
Killer vid, I've watched it again, very cool editing / music sync.

Status: offline 		The .36 Webra is ideal for the Outlaw and it can be found at cswartz@mts.net. That's Cliff Swartz, a Webra dealer in Canada, and can sell you all the Webra's you want. The .36 Webra, a 9X7 APC and a tuned pipe are a perfect combination. Ask the guys at Extream Flight.

Status: offline 		I have owned 2 of the outlaws and can tell you that you have to think way ahead in what you want to do with it as it will cover alot of ground in a hurry...Speeds of 150 to 160 mph is the norm with the engine pipe combo ArthurD is using...However, I had Dave at ultrathrust make me one of the mufflers that was designed for the webra 32 racing....Bolted it to my 36 webra and it was like a turbo charger.....9x7 acp and a screaming 36 webra will set you free.....gofastz

Looking at the picture of your Outlaw it seems your header is much longer than mine after tuning. Maybe by two inches. Did you tune yours later and this is just a picture before you did it?

Status: offline 		Do these things land really slow? Got mine build and the rud servo looks like it will be the landing skid, sticks out. The pictures I have seen looks like this is how they are just seem like the servo would be easy to damage on landing.

Status: offline 		You can put the rudder servo inside the fuse on the right side in the compartment under the removable fin with the servo arm straight up through a cut-out you make in the cover. The push-pull rod will lie flat almost touching the top of the wing on it's way back to the rudder. Place the control arm on the rudder at a height to allow this clearence. It might also go on the left side in the compartment. Didn't try that.
