Yes, cap strips go left and right, and top and bottom on the wing.

Hey,

I glued the cap strips top and bottom, left and right. Sanding them down to the correct shape was a blast. Just bought the sanding tools from great planes and they do one hell of a job

Especially the multi-contour sander was verry handy.

The stab now looks pretty nice and was a lot a fun. This is my first kit build and already I'm sure I will be building many more

Last night begon the rudder, hope to end it tonight.

Phil

I am in the final assembly stage of building my Elder. To those of you who have completed the build, what did you use for the cross bracing on the rear fuselage? I am reluctant to go with the elastic cord because it will probably suck up the oil from the exhaust.

I have been using elastic cord and not having any problems with oil etc.

Jim,

And how did you attach the cord at the corners ... CA + kicker?

I put a piece of plastic 1/8 inch wide small tubing in each corner to run the cord thru and hit it with CA + Kicker

Thanks, Jim! I'm just about at that point now. Based on your comments, I do believe I will proceed with the elastic cord.

Hey,

Been out for a while...

I finished the stab and fin, I'm getting ready for the wing.
Any tips?
