where and how much does it cost now a days

When you buy bulk as in one river boat barge some few thosand tons the price is less than $1 per USA gallon somthing like $0.80c

cheaper than gasoline even

For everybody else figures seem to start at often more than $10 a USA gallon as it classed in HAZMAT for shipping purposes

Check with race tracks and high performance car shops in your area. You can't get a decent price until you buy at least a 55-gallon drum. Make friends with someone who races rail dragsters and runs nitro-methanol fuel. If you buy a drum, figure a way to avoid exposing the methanol to the air on a regular basis. The methanol pulls water right out of the air (hydroscopic). So when you get down to the last part of the drum, the methanol is not good for fuel.

All sprint cars also run straight mehanol, if you need small quantities go down to your local hardware store and get some methyl hydrate ( another name for methanol )
