Hi -

I would like to be able to view the runway as I set -up for landing (like on the downwind leg). I can't find a way to do it. Is it possible?

Thanks for any help!

Hi wil, do you mean you want to have a cockpit view?

Hi -

No. I'm trying to get the same type of view that I get when I stand on the ground flying my R/C model. As I approach the runway my "side" vision shows me where the runway is located with respect to my R/C model.

Thanks for the interest.

Wil

Hi wil, you could use either the fixed viewing position, or fixed viewing position with autozoom (under view 1), and set the field of view slightly larger (I like to use 50-60, but you could make it larger to your liking). In a 3D scenery, you could use the up/down cursor keys to go nearer/further from the aircraft, left/right cursor keys to go around the aircraft, page up/page down to increase/decrease the viewing height. However, the cursor key functions do not work for a photoscenery.

Hi Rajul - (I hope I have the name correct - I am not well versed in forum use)

I very much sppreciate your help and will try the things you suggested. I must admit that I do not understand the meaning of "photoscenery" and have had trouble moving around the aircraft. It seems I move and then when I let up on cursor the scene immediately jumps back to the original position. I'm working on it.

Hi Rajul - (I hope I have the name correct - I am not well-versed in communicating on the forum)

I apprecate the help you have given me and will try the things you suggested. I do not understand the term "photoscenery" and when I move the Flier (R/C transmitter operator on ground) around the aircraft with the cursor as soon as I let up on the cursor the scene immediately returns to it's original position??. I am working on it.

Thanks again for all your help.

Hi wil, photosceneries or panoramic sceneries are the ones made with real life photos. 3D sceneries are made using computer graphics software and look cartoonish. You should be able to differentiate them easily. As a check, can you let me know which addons you installed, and which patch you used? Thanks

Hi wil, if you have AFP, then the correct patch is 1.6.8.6. Patch 1.8.0.25 is for AFPD. I would suggest that you do a complete uninstall and reinstall using the instructions at the bottom of this page http://www.aerofly.com/www/downloads.html and then applying the 1.6.8.6 patch

Hi Rajul -

I did not mean to confuse things. I have AeroflyPro Deluxe, version 1.8.0.2.5. All patches, etc. seem to be working fine. Will
