Does anyone know how to remove the one way bearing on the main gear? Also how do I reinstall a bearing? Is there a tool I can use to remove, install the bearing on the B400?

I use a tool that I think I got from UShobbysupply. It is a one way bearing removal tool for the T-Rex 450. It works great. Then put the two parts on either side of the gear and use a vise to squeeze the bearing out. Then I just use a C-clamp to press the bearing into the gear since I don't have a vise big enough to fit around the gear.

I use a C clamp also to remove the one way bearing along with a small socket. I think I use a 8mm socket? Can't remeber. Just put the two gears together the same way, socket on the one way, then clamp away and it will push it through.

Cool! I looked at Michael's site and he has two removal tools. I wonder which one it would be?

Crusader,

You can always use some alternative method, such as using a screw as a drill bit.

Thanks Nick. I just ordered one of those. The main gear with bearing is way more expensive than the one without. I think this is a pretty good investment.

What dont you like about the blade? Do you have one or just a TRex dude all the way? I have one and throughly enjoy it. I am new to the hobby and my buddy has a TRex 450sev2 that he loves but he likes my blade 400. I have been flying it a couple of weeks now and compared to the cp pro I was flying it is night and day better!!! I have finaly been able to maintain forward and backward flight that I could not do with the cp pro with out crashing it. I will build myself a Trex 600n but in the meantime I am having a blast with my new 400. I have run thru about 20 battery charges and the only thing I have done is a minor blade strike while to low to the ground. For a beginer I believe this is a very good heli for the money!!! I started with a cx2, then the cp pro and now the 400 and I have never had so much fun as I have with the 400. Hoping to be inverted by end of July, LOL Going to try anyway. Later Dude

I’ve been contemplating lately changing my DX6i from mode 1 to mode 2. Even though my experience has been with mode 1 I wanted to experience the controls with a mode 2. Well if any one else has been thinking the same thing here is a link on how to change the settings from Mode 2 to Mode 1 (but I just reversed the process and worked like a treat). http://www.max3design.com/soporte/RC/DX6i/DX6i_mode_change.htm I changed over a couple of days ago and surprisingly its easer than I though it would be, a couple of hours on my sim and I'm starting to get the hang of it. At this stage I don’t think I'll change back because the controls on Mode 2 seem to be more natural. Hope this link is of use to others

PS: The change over took me about half an hour and didn't cost a thing

Link takes you elsewhere than indicated. It says that webpage cannot be found/openend/etc - - - I believe to a Mexican miscellaneous sales-type webpage - - - I think the prices reflect the current exchange rate of pesos to the dollar - - -

Too bad about the link. It would have been interesting information for some - well, I would have read it because I am a curious engineer - well, I suppose that is why I am an engineer - - - Curious - - -

If you copied the "how-to-do" information to a file it might be appreciated by some or many that you post it - - -

Thank you for the thought at least anyway.

Try taking the last period off the link. Then it works correctly:

The dangers of putting links at the end of sentences

I flew my buddies Trex450 and to be honest, it was about the same. The tail held it's place better, but that was due to his 401 gyro. We have the same servos, HiTec65 with metal gears and he was running the DX7 which weighed a lot more then the Dx6i due to the extra batteries. I don't see what all the hype is about. I am sure at extreme 3D the metal parts are more accurate then the plastic Blade 400, but I am not going to notice.

hey guys ...just wondering if anyone had some issues with the blade 400 spinning. I'm not sure I checked the Blade over completely. I'm thinking it's the gyro (I tried reversing..still spins or the belt is loose ( don't know how to tighten)? It was fine one day and a few days after that it wants to spin. Any ideas?
