Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can charge 2 "D" NiMh batteries while they are inside something? (a flashlight actually) I just want to be able to plug it into a charging jack that will connect to the two batteries and charge them while they are still inside the flashlight...preferably from a 12v source.

Wouldn't it be easier to spend $20 and buy a rechargeable torch?

I highly doubt there are any with any good battery life or light for $20. Also I plan on putting this into a nice mag lite with a super bright LED.
