I have run STS, GO and Picco's......... the STS .21's are okay, but they do not make anywhere near the power of the Picco engine..... on a X-Dyno a STS .21T would likely pull around 1.0-1.2 HP tops and 51 oz/in.......... they may seem to keep up on the track, but when you swap a Picco P7R back to back with a STS 21 there is no contest, the Picco is a much stronger engine........The Picco also breaks in much easier and is also easier to tune........

Works for me!

I feel badly saying that actually...because I have seen how sweet running some STS mills can be....Also the pinch on the STS are so inconsistant that one motor may make way more power then the next motor.... Also head button design is extremely critical to engine output, and I have seen major inconsistencies motor to motor with STS... Its as if every batch is different, and performs different...... SO I will say that the STS .21's that I ran would not match up well to a moor like a P7R.......but I am unsure how other STS 21's would run, as they can be extremely inconsistent........ Anyways I hate to bash STS like that, but I have been stuck fixxing alot of faulty STS engines, and seeing how whacked out they can be from batch to batch has somewhat soured the brand in my eyes.......... Yes some STS will run killer strong, unfortunately they have major QC issues and are extremely inconsistant...

i'm curious to see how they changed with the S21T, but reputation of STS lately has been heavily soiled with bad QC.

I don't know for sure, but I would say the P7R would beat a v-spec, theres alot of guys the run v-specs at my local track and my STS 21B if I leaned it out a little would run with them.
