Nice work, I also find the newer HL gearboxes very good and value for money and have installed them in my T34, Panther and Sherman.

My T34 has the normal HL standard metal gearboxes in it. This only made possible by using a metal hull I found on ebay, it is nice and strong but not quite historically accurate, and so the HL gearboxes are able to fit. So I cannot really compare it with yours.

Looking forward to seeing more soon.

Cheers

Alan.

Doubt it, it'd be like WSN doing a Panzer III and IV - Why bother when they're already available in quantity. Reinventing the wheel a few times over gets old quick, hence we're starting to see some variety (manufacturers doing what hasnt been done before).

Torro saved costs on the latest revision (the IR version), removed a lot of the detail parts, killed off things like removeable hatches etc which made life easier for those with the original Out of Production WSN version (non-IR)

Yes, they really cut corners for the IR tanks. The operable hatch is gone and that made lots of work to have it open.

started work on the lid
got rid of the fake molded mesh and replaced with some real mesh
the green blob is filler/putty where the hole for the aerial was

the mesh was out of a 2pack kitchen implement used to stop fat spitting every where when you have a "FRY-UP" and only cost £1 from my local "POUND SHOP"

The mesh work looks great. What did you use to cut out the original mesh? I would also like to put that mesh in my T34 but will be hard to find one that matches.

bit more done on the 34
wiring and boards in made a new antenna with thanks to PZRWEST
also noticed that whilst under power it's possible to speed these gearboxes up by moving the final gear to the position in the pic with the green outline in

Beautiful work. Is the final driven gear the original T-34 gear, (I guess it is the Metal replacement equiv.) I was just curious if wsn and heng long used the same pitch gears. I have 3 lined up for this type of conversion as i also have passed thrpugh the etal gear upgrade and am now in the world of slipping gears again.
