Nice work, I also find the newer HL gearboxes very good and value for money and have installed them in my T34, Panther and Sherman.

My T34 has the normal HL standard metal gearboxes in it. This only made possible by using a metal hull I found on ebay, it is nice and strong but not quite historically accurate, and so the HL gearboxes are able to fit. So I cannot really compare it with yours.

Looking forward to seeing more soon.

Yes, they really cut corners for the IR tanks. The operable hatch is gone and that made lots of work to have it open.

The mesh work looks great. What did you use to cut out the original mesh? I would also like to put that mesh in my T34 but will be hard to find one that matches.

I used the thread saw method works like a treat[:D][:D][:D]

the mesh used was off a frying pan splash guard sort of like a flat sieve cost about £1 from my local pound shop

Beautiful work. Is the final driven gear the original T-34 gear, (I guess it is the Metal replacement equiv.) I was just curious if wsn and heng long used the same pitch gears. I have 3 lined up for this type of conversion as i also have passed thrpugh the etal gear upgrade and am now in the world of slipping gears again.

it is the wsn upgrade gear strengthened with abrass tube to join the two together

at least there's no slipping or jumping now LOL
same as you kclank 2 std boxes and a metal upgrade and it was still pants [:'(][:@][&:] was definatly worth the outlay
