What motorr did you get with your kit? the 2800Kv motor seems to be weak.. good for indoor.. but lacks outdoor power... heli is really
stable... and it holds really well.. the GY401 is a good gyro.. although costs more than the heli.. it does make a difference.. Ill try to use the Hitec Gyro to loose some weight... and a smaller ESC will do great...

Best gyro for the CopterX 200 IMO is the Logictech 2100T. Its the only one with a small size that will hold in hard 3Dz really good.

The HS65MG will do great on this heli.. it will fit the servo holders nice and tight.. for the Gyro... why not use a Logitec.... Ill be getting a HItec.. similar to the logitec.. not sure if it will hold as good as a Gy401.. but I hope it does... If only the Hitec plant here in the Phils sells to modelers... they only sell their parts to dealers.. and have to get it from them.. costs more...

Not yet, it only shipped out a couple days ago. Not sure about what to put in it, I need everything to be light and of good quality. I have a 2900kv motor that is smaller than my Trex motor that I'm going to use and I have a few different esc's laying aroung, an Otter 35 that is too big, a CC35 that is also likely overkill and a OEMRC25 that I might use, or just buy a CC since I already have the programming usb deal for it, haven't used the CC35 esc or programmer yet.

It's here!.....UPS lef it at my doorstep this afternoon.

Boy it sure seems small when looking at it compared to the pictures on the forum. Sonebee must have been using a zoom magnifyer or something.

Got the motor with the package and it is a 27g outrunner with what appears to be a 2mm shaft. Will have to measure later. Had wanted to weigh the ESC that comes with it but, they dind't send one with it. Got a great package of gold plated motor connectors instead? will have to confirm I ordered the esc (pretty sure as it was the motor/esc combo that I selected).

Will be out shoping wednesday afternoon for some servos and the reciever. Have an RCT gyro coming ( 15g<

to help with the weight. As well, will need to get an ESC. Maybe will pick up the 10 amp CC to give it a try.

I found an 18 amp esc laying around that I got from hobby people, I'll use that one with the 2900kv motor w/15t pinion.

2900kv motor

This is the motor I'm going to use w/15t pinion, it is red instead of gold, same thing though, I originally bought it for my Heli Max Axe CP and it was not enough power for that heli, slightly less than the stock motor which is a 380 brushed, the Axe CP is long gone and I will NOT ever recommend anyone buy one, EVER! Anyways....

What do you think of the motor? I have no idea what headspeed it will give me? The pinion is a mod5, is the 200 a mod 5 also (same as axe cp).

I'm not in a big hurry to get this flying but I will be getting it going soon enough. I already have two trex 450s and one Raptor 90 and I"m looking for a deal on a Trex 600N, the 600N is a more pressing item. I'm scared to death of crashing my 90, I love it and it flys like a dream buy repair costs are very high, not as bad as other 90s but still high.

Blades? Who makes a direct swap in carbon fiber? What about direct swap woodies?

I haven't even checked for spare parts for the 200, where can I get those?

If that is the same motor it is somewhat heavy for its performance (by three times). It indicates max current of 12 amps and 65 grams weight. I have a Razor 400 motor on my Falcon 40. It has a max current of 18 amps, and weighs in at 27 grams. The stock motor for the CX200 is 27 grams. It would appear that weight is a big factor for these little 200 helis

Unless I misunderstand something there seems to be a lot of people that think the KV rating has something to do with motor power. From what I have found it is strickly a rating of motor rpm for a given voltage. You can get the same headspeed from a 2800 kv motor as you can from a 3800 kv motor, just change the pinion size. What seems to be of more importance to me is max motor current to allow you to determine the motors max wattage rating (or power). This information doesn't appear on a lot of hobby shop sites. My razor 400 KV rating is higher than my trex motor as well as my scorpion motor for my other 450 machine. The max current rating on the razor is about 1/2 of the other two lower kv motors.

About the 2900kv motor, I was hoping it would be a perfect fit, looks like I might be off a bit.

I understand the kv rating system but was missing the wattage/amp part of the formula, not now though.

Sweeeeeeeeet Mitch.

Make sure you setup that Logictech in rate mode first, unlike the 401. Its a little harder to get it setup than the 401, but for the size, price, and hold, its the best for a super micro heli. For anything bigger as in the Trex 450, the 401 is king, but for super micro, the Logictech is king IMO.

Drop in CF blades.

Would need to check hole and thickness at root.

These are the cheapest i ran across. Saw prices ranging up to $60.00!

As things get smaller, the price certainly doesn't!

Assume you mean main drive gear (not motor pinion). Are you looking for the tooth count?

That is good to hear... you will start with the build of this cute heli... hehehehe.... yup its really small.. and the parts are small too.. but it does fly nice for something that size....
