Well I got hold of the new Copter X 200 proto...
never knew it will come in a really small box..

The Heli is housed in a long small box 16.5 X 4 X 3 inches

inside this long box are 2 small ones that contain the kit parts.

The smaller box contains the canopy, screws, velcro strap, tie wraps and some double adhesive tape.

the larger box contains the metal parts

The Copter X 200 Main frame is made out of aluminum. The aluminum frame has 2 parts. The upper and lower frame. Both are fastened with aluminum blocks. and are fully anodized with gun black color. The blocks are anodized blue aluminum. The frame is sturdy and thicker than the ones used on the CopterX 450 AE. ( 1.1mm thick to be exact ), similar to the new CopterX 450SE CF V2 frames thickness.

The Cyclic sevos are mounted 120° apart and is directly linked to the swash plate (CCPM).. Kinda reminds me of the HDX design on servo location

The head design is similar to its larger brother.. made smaller... it has a different cage design. but mixing seems to be the identical..

The tail case assembly is also all aluminum.. a smaller version of its big brother.
The pulley is made out of plastic.. and the tail shaft is really thin.. only 2mm diameter wow this should not hit the ground or bye bye tail shaft...

The Belt is directly linked to the main gear similar to the dragonus with a bearing guide to center the belt and aligned to the tail boom.

The Copter X 200 is alittle easy to assemble.. its no different in assembly from its big brother. Head is almost identical setting up the mixing arms and controls will be not of a problem

Looking at this heli with its bigger brother.. you can see how small it is...
its light weight and very sturdy structure seems to be a real turn on.

cons:

* well it comes with plastic blades. not sure why CF was not part of it. But ill try to ask if the production class will have CF's or woodies.
* canopy looks strange. It does not resemble its big brother, it looks more like a BELTCP.

* tail rudder servo is mounted on the back of the frame. It seems to share the design of the dragonus on this. I would try to request that they replace the position and make it a tail boom mounted one.

Two questions real quick...
1. Where did you get a Copter X 200
2. Why did you make this post under T-Rex heli's?

and none of your picturese work.

its a small heli but kinda costly.. for something this small.. Ill try to use some of my servos that i have on the V2 and V1....the HS65's fits nicely.. and a nice GY401 will do fine...
a CC ESC will fit nicely.. the only thing that really has to be small is the RX.. an AR6000 will be a good RX use... will fit under the main gear....

Well I am glad you do reviews of the Copter X, I have been looking at the Copter X SEV2 and besides the fact that it is a carbon copy of a Trex it is a very nice heli. I am really interested in the concept of a 200 sized heli and i would really like one. Hopefully they come out with something, could be lots of fun indoors.

My proxy server blocks photobucket.com so the hyperlink to the photos don't work. Uploading to RC universe would work better.

I have tried to put some servos just to see what will fit this small heli. Well the best sized servos are 9g. HS55's will do fine.

For the tail servo.. I tried using a HS56's servo.. the problem was the servo tabs.
The one on the HS56 are 2 holes so there will some modification and drilling needed.. temporarily i used a HS65's it has both the center hole and the 2 side holes on the tabs. If fits the Copter X servo holder with time midification of the holes on the tab.. it needed a slotted hole to get the screws aligned correctly but it was simple to install. It also needs the short servo horn the Cross one that comes with the HS65's
The ball should be placed at the end hole of the servo horn to get the whole pitch slider travel. you have to cut the excess 3 arms of the horn and only leave one.

Do you know if they are planning to make a 500 size in the near future? That would be nice, good job bro. I'm also from Las Pinas, right now based in Alberta.
