From the ones that I've seen the chain is a bit too tight out of the box and watch for screws that need threadlocking such as the axle bolts.
Change the plug to an OS#3,the supplied plug doesn't seem to be very good.

As for running in just do what you normally do.I tend to get the engine running rich and run the bike with WOT bursts, tweak the needle in about an hour every third tank or so.

im worried if i threadlock the bolts i wont be able to get them out again , is there special kind of thread lock glue that isnt super strong ? also where can i get a engine rebuild kit for this motor for spare parts, i couldnt find nitro engine rebuild kits on the 2wheelhobby site . also i want to go for a tread tire , are those tires displayed on 2wheelhobbies is it one size fits all? because there is differnt brands i know that the front and rear tires are differnt size , do i have to stick with the thunder tiger tires , there is no information on that site to tell you for eg: this tire set is suitable for the desmosesdici or other lol so i dont have a clue what tire i need to get when they wear out .

Use the blue threadlock. The front and rear tyres will fit whatever make you buy.

The engine is a TT,so all you'll need is a TT spares list. The engine in a bike doesn't have such a hard life as in a car so should last you a while. If you use an electric drill for starting you could well crack the OWB inside,so be prepared to buy spares. An aircraft starter is a better choice and will spin the engine faster as well.

no it doesn't come with a starter, just a hex rod. you can you a drill, but you run the risk of breaking something. here's the starter that i got, you'll also need a 7.2v batt. for it http://2wheelhobbies.com/product_info.php?cPath=23_34&products_id=402

Just ordered myself one also last nite. I plan on using my losi starter as I've been told that the hex will fit it. Did you get the front brake kit for it also?

no i just ordered the bike as it is , when i get my hands on it , ill see what this thing is all about. hey how do you first begin to use these ? i mean do you need to hold the bike then give it throttle then let go , and then when you need to stop it you need to grab it when it comes near you LOL , is that what i have to do ?

As long as you use a drill with clutch settings (torque setting). Clutch will slip if engine is hydro locked (flooded). This will prevent damage on engine.

I just got one myself. I got the RTR package. On the box it says it has dual aluminum steering dampers. From what I understand, its the steering linkage from the servo to the fork which looks like a shock with a smaller spring.
Well mine doesnt look like its aluminum and there is only one of them.

I even asked the seller to open another box and see, and they were the same with only 1 steering damper.

Am I talking about the correct part here, or something else, or its just whats written on the box is not accurate.

Perhaps it's supposed to read a double spring steering damper, there's another spring inside.I don't think any of them have a double damper out of the box.

in a word no, the rotostart for your savage spins in the wrong direction. if you can find a way to make it spin the other way you'll be good
