Status: offline 		Its funny because I like Ohio too so if LSU wasn't in it, I would be going for Ohio. So, if Ohio does win, I won't be devastated. The game is Monday though, which is stupid because most students are going to be in New Orleans for the game.

Status: offline 		I'm not even sure that Ohio and LSU are the two teams that should be playing for the title. The whole BCS ranking and bowl selection process is so flawed and prejudiced that it kind of makes a mockery of the title game.
IMHO, they should institute some sort of objective play-off system so that when a team wins the title everyone can look and say, yeah, they're the best and deserve the title. Not like te past few years where 3, 4 or more teams have a legitimate claim that tey should have been in the title match.

So, basically, I may watch the game but could care less who "wins" the title.

kind of a lopsided game
it would have been a better game if they'd have played tennessee or georgia
and a truer indication of the best team in the country too
the bcs really sucks
when the rankings are determined by people who have a vested interest in them then it makes the rankings hard to put any faith in

that would seem to me like the winner would be #1 and the loser #2, right?
but, nooooooo, the loser falls to #5 in the final poll!!!!!!!
How is it possible to come in fifth when you're playing for either #1 or #2?????
and how in the world can you win the title match and still not receive 100% of the final poll votes?????
lsu only got 60 out of 65 1st place votes!!!!
it's not right and it's not fair to the schools, the teams or the fans
the bcs sucks!!!!

and that's not even arguing if those two teams were the ones that should have been in the title game

ok, rant over for now....

Status: offline 		Where did anyone in this thread say that? They probably had as much right as any of 4 or 5 other teams to be there. And I think that was the point really. How can you know for 100% that a team is the best when there's no impartial way to determine who should be playing. And even if you get invited to play in the big game you're not playing for number 0ne and number two, you're playing for number one and whereever a bunch of prejudiced fools put you. I know if I were Ohio State I'd be really, really pissed off to have played in the title game and end up ranked number 5.
If I were an LSU fan I'd be tickled pink and proud of their win too. But I'd hope that I'd have enough presence of mind to realize that there were several other teams that could have been there rather than my team. That the system that got them there is badly flawed.

But, the bottom line is, LSU is this years National Champ and so deserve to be congratulated.
Congratulations!!!!




Oh yeah, Georgia is ranked #2 and is only losing like 5 seniors so watch out for the Bulldogs next year!!!!!!!!!!
