I'm looking to get a new ESC. I've been looking at GWS's offerings and Jeti's offering's. I know the GWS's are cheaper but how are they in quality and performance when compared with the more expensive Jeti models?

The GWS and Jeti ESC's I've been looking at in particular is the ICS-300 or 400 and the Jeti 110.

Any recommendations or comments would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

I've no experience of GWS ESC's but I have used several other brands and now I buy nothing but Jeti. I've had all sorts of problems with various other "cheap" ESC's but I've never had a problem with a Jeti - I think it's true that generally you get what you pay for.

Having said all that I don't live in the States. If I did I think I'd also consider Castle Creations ESC's they get loads of critical acclaim!

I've never had a GWS ESC, so I cannot comment on them.

I have used a Jeti 050 and have had no problems with it.

But,

Why don't you consider a Castle Creations Pixie 20?

It's the same price as the Jeti 110

It will handle more current than either of the GWS ESC's or the Jeti. (20 amps cont./30 amps max)

It weighs less than either the GWS ESC's or the Jeti. (0.3 oz with wires)

And it's programmable.

I'm not saying that either of the GWS ESC's or the Jeti are bad. IMHO the Castle Creations Pixie 20P is just a whole lot better.

Wright Flyer, Latch66,

Thanks for the info. I was not aware of the Castle Creations ESC's. After doing some research, they do seem to be top notch.

Looks like my next ESC will be the Pixie20.

Many Thanks for the info.
