Hi Guys! I finally got down to the club field yesterday and maidened the Simple Stik. Takeoff roll was about 30' before she jumped into the air! The Evolution .61NT has plenty of power and some to spare. Just a little up trim for hands off flight at 1/2 throttle and she was rock steady in slow flight. Glide was shallow at idle and I was a little surprised, because I was afraid it was a little heavy and the wing loading might be a lot. All in all, the plane handles extremely well and I couldn't be more pleased with it so far. Now, to see what she'll do with it's semi-symetrical wing and the throttle to the firewall! My wife recorded some low res video of the flight and as soon as I get to the library with their high speed connection, I'll add it to the RC Universe video with the link. Tim

Added the Video (crappy resolution) but you get the idea: http://rcuvideos.com/item/GJZSC3T9SRPL9T01

Congratulations on a successful maiden flight. The plane looks great and it flies really nice.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys! I decided to eliminate the rubber bands and use a bolt on system. It's a clean looking plane and the rubber bands looked a little hokey! I'll report back on the aerobatic performance this weekend.

Looks good Sticks are clasics for good reason I like the way the plane disappears and reappears In the air. Kind of like a Klingon warship coming out of Cloaking

Yes dear, I did glue my hand to the airplane to keep from dropping it.
