Hi everybody,

someone ever seen doing a me 109 modification to a zwilling?
I love this bird, and am thinking about conversion from Brian Taylor plans, but I am not a rocket scientist...
I haven't seen his plans yet, and don't know if it is possible.
Most other plan designers have too big models. (his me 109f has 61" span)
Any suggestions would be helpful, (I didn't do a twin before)
Thank you
If you don't know it: it looks like this... (in plastic)

I don't know of any Zwilling plans/kits, but you could probably find a plan for an F-82 Twin Mustang. That, together with a good Me-109 plan and Zwilling documentation should help you to engineer your project. Good luck!

I have the 3-view ..I was going to do this plane but got burned out on the 109. I have built about 7 of the Meister 100" 109's and 3 of the Meister 84" 109's.
I was going to use the 84" 109 to do the Zwilling model. It would be easy to do without too much modification. I would have to do the calculations again but I think the wing span on the twin would be about 110" -112".
The bear would be buying 2 sets of landing gear for the thing. Plus the gear mounting blocks would be touching each other so they would be in scale position. If I get a chance I'll post the 3-view tomorrow....

just out of interest, whats the 84 model like? in terms of constuction and flying?

A club mate has the 100 ins, and its flies very well indeed on a G62. What motor did you fit in yours? and did you have any problems balancing the spinner (my friend did with his)

I have been thinking about one for some time now (G-38 or US-42) but have not seen or heard much about the smaller one.

Any insight would be appreciated

Hi FW1,

If you every start it, let me know!
I'm interested in the Meister as well, can you compare it to BT?
The inner section of the wing, were you going to use the same ribs as the wing parts?
Z.

Here are the 3-views I said I would post

I have not built the Brian Taylor 109 so could not compare to two.

OK, but then I'll need a copilot, interested?
Next time when you want a card to arrive in time, send it with the mustang....no sign yet.

Nice, very nice! Looks like some easy mods for the wing and fuse. A Meister Z with G-62s sparks my interest, maybe next winter. A bit of $, but what a show piece. Ty, can you help me out with this?
