Well only prob so far with new buggy is the rear shock is leaking, whats the best way to fix this? should i just take em apart and put em abck together?

Where they leaking from ? the top or bottom. If there leaking form the bottom and not much at all there will be some oil from where the rod goes in and out of it, if its leaking from the top which I had that prob once they come apart on me, what I did is filled it with 10W-40 motor oil and screwed them back together, thats about all you can do.

how full do you fill the shocks with oil? i bought some traxxas shocks and modifying them to fit (it's gonna work!!!!!!!!!!) on my 1/10 buggy. i need to know how full to fill.

I had a front shock snap on me one time, the first 2 hours I had it after breakin, I was doing some jumping from a ramp, well needless to say I hit the ramp to the side of it and we had a picnic table close the the ramp, well my buggy at the time slammed right into the leg of the table and snapped the rod going into the shock right in two, here's pictures of it when I did it and fixed the broken shock by rigging it up till I got new ones in. How I fixed my shock and rod while waiting on new parts First off you have to find a bolt small enough to fit inside of the shock with 2 nuts that fit it, one with threads to the bottom of the bolt, second drill a hole in a penny if you dont have the right washer, third find a small piece of metal to bend in half and drill 1 hole in each bend, fourth take apart the shock and drill a hole to the size of your bolt in the bottom of your canister, insert bolt into shock canister threaded part first, put your shock back together, then you put the spring back onto the shock, holding back the spring, screw on one nut then put the penny on it, then put your angled piece of metal that you have drilled and cut on it, then the other nut, and adjust tension with the nuts and tighten them. This is how we southern boys fix things

really? well if it means im going to have to buy something to fix them with i might aswell just get some ones, just kinda sucks seeing how i haven't even broke it in yet

On the aluminum ones what I did to mine is add BLUE Lock tight but, be careful and not get any on the inside of the shock or it will lock them up, refill with oil before you add the lock tight.

Ah ok, was thinking about that but wasn't sure, i just got some blue locktite too... so just put it on the top and bottom threds of the shock?
