ORIGINAL: crash99 Group, I know we plan to welcome them to our club. We have always welcome them to our field to them in the past. We never want to get away from why we are here. We fly for the fun of it. Our membership is $25.00 per year for all members. I also understand that this AMA membership will not cover them in a sanction event. Is that correct? We would love to include all flyers to our events. Thanks Crash99 Crash, in the link posted in first post: Park Flyer models will weigh two pounds or less and be incapable of reaching speeds greater than 60 mph. They must be electric or rubber powered, or of any similar quiet means of propulsion. Models should be remotely controlled or flown with a control line, remain within the pilot’s line of sight at all times, and always be flown safely by the operator. Regular AMA Member: Flying at all AMA sanctioned contests Park Flier Member: Can only fly at non-rule book sanctioned events. As a long time CD, I read that at an AMA Sanctioned Class C Fly-In, an AMA PF can legally fly a model of 2# or less. At my Fly-In, will I subject my regularly 2.5 mil. $$$ insured participants to the limited 500 thousand $$ coverage of the PF? I haven't decided that yet. A 2 lb. model (DF jet?) in the eyes can be a damaging machine. Something to think about. I have a Fly-In coming up 3-29-08. We gotta' think about it.
