Status: offline 		I have never had, nor seen a lipo burn up in person, only videos online of people shorting them out to show what can happen. I have flown airplanes using LiPo batteries for a few years now and have seen quite a few planes using them crash with no explosive results. I am not saying the A123 packs are bad at all. I just have a dozen or so lipos that fit my mini and plan to use those... If I saw any REAL advantage to using A123 packs, I would. Reasons that you state are not good enough for me. I can take faster charge times and higher burst ratings as TRUE advantages... Not simply saying that they are tolerant to irresponsible charging. I take care of my batteries and have nice chargers meant for LiPo's that don't overcharge the packs I don't put myself at risk by being so careless. I have also never popped a nicad or nimh pack by overcharging, nor puffed a lipo... years and years in this hobby and I have never had a battery fail because of my charging them, only dead cells due to thier known lifespan. If you don't want a lipo to burn, you simply don't short-out or overcharge the pack - Not hard things to do (use responsibly and as intended).

- Thank you Mr. Mugen for pointing out REAL advantages of these A123 packs, I will certainly plan on trying these out in the future.

Status: offline 		Some people dont know what "C" ratings are and overdraw their lipo's as well. This ruins them. I had a few eye openers this way. Since then I do all math first. And use a watts up meter to test all draw before applying them.

Status: offline 		They should fit a mini T, two cells side by side are equal to 4 2/3a size cells, which is what the mini T uses. Im not saying to do it and it will work for sure - they might be just a little bit taller.. mr. mugen would know.

I went to menards today and most of the black and decker stuff including these batteries were on sale for i think 16.99 or 15.99, but Im guessing the sale will probably end tomorrow.

Status: offline 		I charge mine with a nimh wall charger, I have over 70 charges on one of the packs and its going strong, and it barely fits in the mini t chassis, im running the 2 cell vpx packs in my mini-t and it rips amazing pack

1 can i use a 2s 10C 7.4v lipo for a brp with a standard servo and a 16D motor?

and will a normal radio shack 8cell 9.6 1000mah niCD work for this setup? the esc can handle 9.6.

Status: offline 		You should be able to. Remember the LVC. Depending on the esc your planning to use you may not have one (most likely not). You do not want to run your lipo below 6v if possible. How many mah is your 2s lipo?

Status: offline 		I don't think the triton is able to charge A123 cells. The specs from tower do not mention anything about LifePO4 (a123) capabilities.
