Hi. Im wanting to get into Nitro truggys. The reason i want to is because I bought a On-road touring car for drifing then moved to the contry were its all dirt roads. Now i want something that can handle Off-road obstacles and i like the look of truggys better then Trucks and buggies, my question is what should i get just for something to mess around with and start to get into nitro. It would be nice to recive any information and i do have a budget of about 250...cheap...i know(saving for alot of things) but if any one would help in giving me information or addvice it would be appreciated.

Right now you cant beat the Thunder Tiger st1. You can get it under 300 at a main hobbies. Anyone you ask that has one will rave about it. Great truggy, extremly tough adn when you want to get into racing its ready to go with some fluid changes. Its just as good as teh higher dollar 500+ truggies. Awsome truggy.

the St-1 is Definatly the way to go if ur on a budget....but DEFINATLY not as competitive as there actual "race bred" counter parts.....there's a reason u dont see the ST-1 in any major races....but still its a great starter truck for some one on a budget.

I 6th that! For the price its a steal. With all the money you save you can spend more on upgrades to make it more competitive.

If you plan on just bashing around and not alot of racing, might look into a hot bodies lsp truggy. Its built like a tank and can take a pounding, not taking away from the st-1 truggy, its more for a race track. The hot bodies is ok at the track but rocks when it comes to just kicking up dirt and slamming trees, posts and other objects while bashing. Those objects always seem to get in the way.
Ebay can get you a steal on many brands of truggies, but use caution, ask questions and even post a thread on what others think before you buy from ebay.
If your going to race in the near future, the the st-1, hard core racing only, kyosho strr.

you really cant beat thee price of the ST-1 I have had some bad crashes but nothing broke that was on the truggy when I bought it..... I accidentally got the servos wet but no big deal.......

Integra the st1 is as competitive as the more expensive truggies. It only weighs 8.5lbs and has all the adjustments all the others have.

If not more since it has pivot ball steering, compared to some with c-hub.
