hey everyone, i am building a toy for my son. i am trying to figure out a way to trigger a standard 30 amp automotive relay using a tx and rx from a hobby level rc car. the only way i have figured out so far is using a servo to activate a switch which in turns triggers the relay. too many moving parts for reliability i think.

is there anyway to adapt the output of a rx to turn a relay on and off? something similar to a powerzone chip or the ez xport...

im open to any and all ideas.

Activate a micro switch with a servo to engage the relay. The automotive relay would then
I presume, operate some 12v device ?

FBD.

You can do it electically but it does involve some active components: See http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/gadgets/gadgets.htm for many good projects of this nature.
