i have a hpi rs4 3 evo + . the problem is that the clutch bell gets hot very quickly , and when it is high the engine has to rev high just to get the wheels to spin .

any suggestions

Take it off and check the bearings. I would tare the whole clutch down and inspected it because something is either loose,broke,worn etc. the clutch should ALWAYS engage unless something came off or broke (like a bearing). It should not get hot. an the engine should not have to rev any higher for the clutch to work correctly
