i've set mine with a piece of the paper from the spur package.
same way as hpi's tutorial says.
now i only have 1 of 4 trucks with the plastic spur.and the picco. .28 should have shredded it by now but its been good.

Also, be generous with the threadlock on the motor mount and engine fasteners. They can easily vibrate loose causing stripped gears. Mesh #1, threadlock #2!

Definitely need to have the motor mount locked tight into place. But even more important is having set a good mesh.

change your clutch springs the originalls are too loose and engage at a low rpm hence heating up the clutch bell and melting the spur. i have installed losi lst2 shoes and springs and havent had a melted spur since (16.00 at a-main for clutch springs and shoes)

thanks for the help. I was wondering how to get my savage to wheelie. I have installed a 3 speed and allthough it is very snappy I think it would be crazy to get it up on two wheels!!!
