Does anyone still offer a kit for the F-1 plane known as Rivets? Size does not really matter. I would prefer glass, but built up would be ok too.

Joe Foster designed a F1 Rivets, won the nats with it back in 1967. His design was in Flying Models in February 1968, and the plans are still available from FM. Glass kits were done about then, by K&K Industries. All of that about 40 years ago, so I doubt many left about.

There is available a glass QM15 kit from Matney Models.

Matney Models also has another T-Tailed design that you might look at. It is an AJ-2. I attached the photo.

I got one of the plans on the Rivets in the computer hard drive. This was done via Jerry Nelson circa 1965. In talking to Jerry, he said a latter Tee tail design done following years was faster-better. but his rendition was not quite fast enough to become #1 for 1966 or later. Most due to fault of pilot he said, for others using same exact plan were overall better.

Am working on other significant pylon racers at this time to concentrate on the subtile revisions between his variants.

Wm.

Mostly FAI pattern ones at present time. Having difficulty in locating the specified balsa for these.

I did the DeBolt Special as per magazine article last year. Took forever to locate aproperly marked engine for it.

Am working on the Midwest Hustler at this time. A biggie Delta which is already too fast and too overpowered for me.

If you are interested in a 1/2a Rivets look up flyingrog her in RCU. He has a spiffy laser cut kit.

Sorry about that, I had an extra G in there.
Matney models has a pretty cool looking fiberglass job too.
