Look on page 158 of the Jan issue of Model Aviation. They are calling them wingmans at this place. But they are still $69.95 here also.

These are the mach I an Mach II as far as I can tell.

I thought the same thing but it isn't "The World Models Co".

The wing area is smaller. It probably doesn't have the same airfoil based on the published information.

Their $69.99 price does not include the propulsion components. Tank, engine mount, etc.

Well, there you have it!
Thanks Don! I always wonder what the catch is when you see the seemingly same model somewhere else with a diffrent name and company.

4" shorter wing, less area and about a pound lighter.
As it stands now - no, it is not legal for club 40.

The World Models and AirBorne Models are busting butt to accommodate the pylon racing scene. They are constantly working on quality improvements and they are meeting demand. This other company is selling direct only and is obviously trying to capitalize on confusing consumers with look-alike models. Even their company initials are a rip-off.

The World Models is bringing out new and/or improved models that are suitable for racing. And they already have a deep, well engineered line of products. As well as a good dealer network.

Spec classes only work when the specified components are consistent and comparable. While I don't especially like monopolies, I think that changing what is working tremendously well right now would be a mistake.

I am with you 100% Don. I did notice the attempt at making the same logo. Also I have had a long satisfied history with Airborne Models. They are a straight, good bunch.

Hehe, I just noticed that the other company selling these planes is Airborne......

Look at the advertisers index in the back of the ama mag an you will see that Airborne models IS the one that is on that page where it says wingsmaker.com.
Must be a ghost company to airborne like omni is to Tower.
Since wm raised the price $10 on the skyraiders they must be offering the smaller wing span one for $69 to keep some customers?

Yes, I was wrong about this. I made an assumption based on something someone told me. My bad.

It is a direct outlet for certain models produced by The World Models.

The Wingman II is a smaller version of the Sky Raider Mach II. It is engineered to be powered with glow or electric. It has a battery hatch on top.

I will probably get one with the electric power system to test.

They have speed controls and batteries that match the plane.
