Hi

Im tempted on buying a 9.9 or a 13.2V 2300mah pack from maxamps for my brushless rustler vxl. Now will either of these fit in the battery holder?
if they wont fit, couldn't i just secure the battery by shoe lace for somethin lol.

Also, I know what the individual cell looks like, but have no clue what they look like in a 9.9 or 13V pack. Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

thx

They could look like 3 cells in-line end to end, or 2 cells side by side with one on top in the center, or they could be 3 cells side by side.

FYI I run a 3cell Hump pack in my Traxxas Rustler which was brushed and I converted to CC Mamaba Max Brushless. No the pack will not fit in the stock 6 cell shotgun stick battery tray.
Mine is secured with a Velcro strap.

Biglol,

Here is what the 9.9 pack looks like.....

http://a123racing.com/racingpacks/hs3s1p.html

Here is a link to a list that details some vehicles(including the Rustler) as to how the A123 batteries fit......

http://a123racing.com/SpecSheets/batteryfit.pdf

I've heard from several people that the 6.6v pack fits easily in the Rustler and only needs a velco strap(or something like that) to hold it in. And don't worry that it's 6.6 volt......same people have said it will outperform any 7.2 pack anyday! I admit, these are not things which I've(personally) experienced. But, some of these people which have told me this are very reputable in this field/hobby.

Hope this helps you out.

Laters.
