Status: online 		Josh thanks for all of your work on this project, from your design work to your meticulous testing to make sure it runs perfect. I’m very excited to get this thing mounted on a very scale Corsair, a Royal/Marutaka of course! Like I said it makes me want to cut the engine mounts off of my current Corsair! I thought it looked good in the air as it is, but with that prop it is going to look awesome!

Just to clarify, was that test with a 90 SP or the 120SP?

I'll be doing more tests this weekend to get some RPM numbers for common diameter/pitch settings.

Status: offline 		Looking good Juice. The 90 has lots of torque to swing that big 3 blader around. Maybe the bigger prop ( more mass ) is having a greater flywheel effect making those rpm's possible. On the 90sp the max rpm is 5500 is it not?. I would think you would do most flying around about half throttle with the 90sp and H9 corsair. Can't wait to get that 3 blade hub on my son's Corsair and try her out. Keep up the good work. So all I need to order from Solo is the 3 blades, extension nut. With the blades being flat black not glossy. Did you ask for the scale profile blades?.

Status: offline 		Wow! I was preparing to buy a 120SP. Now I'm going to have to rethink that move. One question, Josh. Does your tach have a button or switch to go from 2 blade readings to 3 blade readings? If you were reading for a 2 blade prop with a 3 blade attached, that would explain the high RPM. I know that's a dumb question but I had to ask.

I'm glad you asked, because I think that's what happened (measuring RPM of 3 blades on 2 blade setting). It was cold, and it was drizzling rain very lightly at times, and I was rushing to beat the sunset. In the rush, I probably just forgot to set the tach to 3-blades. You know, the simplest explainations make the most sense.

I feel like a bonehead right now.

Props and an extension nut. Yes, that's what you'll need from Soloprops.

They have two order forms.

1) From the one titled "Solo Props Secure Order Form", you'll order three or more "Round Tip Blades". I still have to do RPM tests to determine if 16" or 18" blades are best. In the comments section near the bottom, you should specify "Flat black. Corsair round tips".

2) From the one titled "Solo Props Replacement Part Order Form (Secure)", you'll order Part Number 45624 (Extension Nut & Washer, 5/16"x24). Later he'll combine the two orders and charge for shipping only once.

I have an idea to save everyone some money in shipping charges. Everyone places their own orders for props and extension nuts with Soloprops... and pays for it. Carl with then combine all the orders into one shipment sent to me. I'll pay for the shipping charges and divide the cost by the number of people involved and add it to your bill. Then I'll re-pack your props and extension nut along with my hub and a Tru-Turn dome spinner and ship you everything. This way everyone only pays for shipping once. And that one shipment to you will contain the complete prop/hub system, ready to assemble and mount. Does that make sense?

I gave Carl from Soloprops a heads up about your orders and this shipping idea. He said it won't be a problem on his side. Everyone: If you want to combine all your shipments, please respone to the thread with "YAY". Otherwise, say "NAY".
