Status: offline 		I have to agree Futaba offered to cover the return shipping but no reply since I emailed them on Friday, and I know I have a faulty tm-7 module, I tested it, we should not be left in the dark it does not do Futaba's reputation any good, I have flown Futaba for 20 years and never considered another product but my I am not so sure anymore.

Status: offline 		I e-mailed support@futaba-rc.com and service@futaba-rc.com. I have only received an automated response to the former, and nothing to the latter. The automated response didn't answer my question, and I sent the question back to support@futaba-rc.com a few days ago. Still waiting for a human response..............Great way to lose a lifetime customer.

People class action is not what is required here, this kind of talk will draw no response. We need calm.

I would say Futaba are searching their records and serial numbers etc trying to find out just how bad this is or isn't, this will take time.

Krystra has said she needs a few days.

So far its been reported that 2 sets in USA and 2 in the UK are effected.

As news of this spreads to other clubs towns countries there may be 100s of sets effected ( Futaba claim only a small number )

If you own a set that requires re-binding then you have been advised to return it to your dealer / supplier .. ( if i was to do this i would attach the advisory note from Futaba ) This was posted here and now shifts liability to you ..

From what I have read there are 2 issues

1/ the 0000 common code which is in a batch of radios

2/ the switch issue turning it off and on before its powered up correctly,

So gentlemen and Ladies sit back and wait until Futaba have released more information, don't panic class action won't get you anywhere, did any one take class action and win over Microsoft ?

Actually, Bill my statement does not assume they were aware of the issue. There is no excuse for having a process that allows a bug like this to get out the door. The GUID is core to the technology, it should be designed to be immutable, and verified on each unit during QC before shipping.

Status: offline 		I emailed Futaba support in the US last Friday as per the advisory as I purchased my 3 modules in Florida while on vacation last November, I would prefer to return it to Ripmax as it would be quicker and less expensive but they may not want this and they are not known for their customer service. One of my modules will connect to two new unbound 607 rx's.

Status: offline 		but even if all units are tested it will NOT resolve the problem seen here...some ofg the units have worked flawlessly for months...what is needed is a real fix and that will take time, patience and a lot of thought on the part of Futaba to get it right.

If only all engineers were held to the same standard!! You know full well that the reality is that things like this DO get by even the best engineered devices and I feel it is disingenuous to imply that any such situation is a core fault of poor engineering.

Then Futaba must know this and their "We get it right the first time" must be very disengenous, or BS or a lie. Lets just call it hype.

Status: offline 		Once the marketing guys get their hands on a new product there is always going to be hype to sell the product. I know Futaba will fix this but my problem is that for such a major player in RC who should be concerned about their reputation they have been too quite since issuing the service advisory, at the very least they should have issued the returns shipping policy to everyone who emailed them, surely they worked over the weekend on this issue, if a problem such as this occured in my line of work everyone one would be called in to help out.

I just purchased a 7c fast system from Tower Hobbies at the first of the month. Should i still have it checked, or sent in or has this problem been fixed after a certain serial numbers system>??

Seriously?? It has been a week and a day since the SA came out. Yesterday they published a list of LHS where you can get your system tested. That list will be updated as they get info. So in the 5 working days since the SA what has Futaba failed to communicate that you feel they should have??

As far as we know it effects all 6EX and 7C sets. Futaba haven't said how far back or listed any serial numbers or any manufacturing dates. So assume that YOU MAY HAVE a set that COULD have this problem.

For piece of mind get it checked as Futaba have issued the Advisory notice of a possible fault.

More Information from Futaba would be a big help like some serial Numbers and manufacturing dates PLEASE !!!!
