ORIGINAL: 1bwana1 there is no excuse for releasing a product with a bug like this, This assumes they were aware of the issue, which clearly they were not. Actually, Bill my statement does not assume they were aware of the issue. There is no excuse for having a process that allows a bug like this to get out the door. The GUID is core to the technology, it should be designed to be immutable, and verified on each unit during QC before shipping. If only all engineers were held to the same standard!! You know full well that the reality is that things like this DO get by even the best engineered devices and I feel it is disingenuous to imply that any such situation is a core fault of poor engineering. Then Futaba must know this and their "We get it right the first time" must be very disengenous, or BS or a lie. Lets just call it hype.
