ORIGINAL: F-16 Skywalker

Im glassing over balsa sheet, sheeting technic was with wing sheeting contact cement,
skins was not glued together at the joints so i was looking for foam safe thinner just incase
some seepage through while glassing.

Do your self a favor and save the weight. just monocote the wing. I did mine this way and total weight on the plane was 9 pounds. you will add about an extra pound of weight with fiberglass.

Not true, mine is right at 9 lbs. It is glassed and painted in 2 part PPG with 2 coats of clear. Just don't go crazy with the resin.

Mark,

I wish my bank account was screaming Wren 44. As long as the K&B .48 stays in one piece, I think this plane will remain ICDF. BTW, it went out for a few sorties this past summer and will be out again this year.

Question about the wing fence, is this an absolute, i see f86's from several manufacturers and some have em and some don't , will this bird slow down enough to need them ?

Hi,

I've built two of these over the years. You could say I cut my builder's teeth on it. The thing about that little plane is that you could build it as simply as you wanted to, or you could hang a bunch of scale ecoutrements on it and it would still fly beautifully. Dorian Anderson built and flew some beautiful ones. They offer an ARF now, but building one yourself from a kit is fun and character-building!

My wing dehiedrel is off a bit, cant tell just by the eye but if i place it on a flat surface i can tell, not much just a tab, im wondering what this will cause in flight,.
