BBOWEN,
OK! heres my 1 cent worth. I love the Corair. I have the Hanger 9 1.50 Mustang, the hanger 9 P-40 and had the Hanger 9 Corsair. An 80" version of the Corsair would seem to be a no brainer. I want one! I have a Brison 4.2 breathing hard on the bench waiting. Oh Wait! Maybe thats me breathing hard. The 51 retails at 569.00, the 80" P-47 retails at 569.00 so it would seem to be a lock that an 80" Corsair Hanger 9 ARF would come in at about the same with Mechanical rotating retracts.

IM IN, LETS DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HANGER 9! IT'S YOUR MOVE!

DANG! I LOVE THIS HOBBY.........................................................................CAPTAIN RON.

You get what you pay for when it comes to warbird ARF's and a large "true to scale" fully molded Corsair, scale gear and all aint going to be inexpensive. That said many of us would try and find a way if someone was to offer the truly ultimate ARF Corsair.....

Composite ARF have my attention at the moment and I will be waiting to see what their production version of the F4U looks like. For those interested who have not seen this bird heres a link to some pics of the prototype at Top Gun 2008 check it out on this page scroll half way down to view-

I have the Hanger 9, P-47 1.50, P-51 1.50 and the corsair .60. Id like to put the corsair in the scanner and blow it up to a 1.50 size /w flaps.
A 1.50 size from H9 or even TF would be the ticket for me and in the price range that fits me.
I am not a true scale kind of guy, but I do like to redress them a bit so I don't have the arf as the next guy.
A guy can take one of these and turn it into what he want for less than what a composite arf cost to start with.

Ok, we can toss KMP in there. I saw their new 74" Corsair. KMP could bring us a reasonable 80"+ planes as well as TF or Hanger 9. What do you guys think about an 80"+ Corsair from Kondor? It would be more scale than the other two and painted with detail. Mr. Kondor we have a need. We have lots of money to spend on it. you might as well be the one to get it.

Ok here's my two cents. I found a hobby site with a 100" F4u in the works. The plane looks ok but the canopy seems a little off. Take a look is all i suggest. www.pasontech.com

I am glad to see someone making a birdcage corsair. Hard to tell from the pictures how this one really looks.
But jeesh, another 100" corsair arf. Are 70" and 100" corsairs easier to make than an 80" one?

I will be courious if this Corsair makes it to market. There have been other companies that have tried but something always happens before a single model is sold. As I remember it has always been a manufacturing problem. I know Giant Scale Planes had it on there website for a long time but never sold any and I believe there were others. Maybe TBM worked it all out and will import them in after all. I will be following what TBM comes up with sounds like they plan on having a huge Warbird inventory all giant scale glad to see it hope that they are somewhat scale so that they can be bashed into a really nice plane..
