Hi, I'm very disappointed with my indoor digital photographs, especially of model and machining projects. They have no snap to them. I think it's mostly a lighting problem. Setting up floods is a pia. I bought a Nikon SB16 strobe at a garage sale and would like to trigger it remotely with the camera strobe. What is the best inexpensive way to do this. I use a Canon SD850 camera. Also have an old Olympus Z2020. I think they both preflash. Thanks for any help. Larry

But have you tried using different exposure settings?

Well...somewhat...a slave driven flash will be triggered by your camera's PRE-flash and not your exposure flash. The result will be a*very* dark image.

The only way to fool the system is if your camera has a manual mode...you won't have the pre-flash and your slave will fire with your camera flash.
