Thank you for the kind words, Richard.
I enjoy helping others in this hobby....goodness knows it's expensive enough as it is, and the parts prices are rather high. I get a kick out of fixing things, and beating the system out of a few bucks whenever I can, and I don't mind spreading some help around if I can. Besides....I have a new dial indicator and stand, and a new brass dead blow hammer to put into action....
....let the fun begin.

That attitude is exactly what makes rc such a great hobby. Modelers helping modelers.

Dave, Do you want the whole engine or just the crank?
The best thing for me, is to have the crankcase w/bearings, or bushings....and the crank like this:

Sheet, bar, coil, and wire are offered as cold rolled product. Plate is thicker and not available. I will not stray any further from the topic. If you require further definition feel free to pm me.
Got me there ,I was only thinking of the stuff I use to work with. By the way an old trade school instructor once told me a boilermaker \welder was a sheetmetal worker with his brains beaten out. That should set the cat amonst the pidgens. Cheers the pope

Just curious Dave, have you run across any new engines that don't have a 60 degree chamfer on the big end or a center drill on the small? So you can run the crank between centers.....

....not really....any engine turned like this could checked on centers, like on a lathe. I have seen some older engines that were not turned on the big end... just rough cast and drilled for the air passage.

I may have one for you later today. I planted my P90 yesterday and took 5 minutes of pulling and wiggling to get the saito 120 out of the ground. Will know after I disassemble it. Edwin

Well Edwin....hopefully it's not bent....
....but if it is, it can probably be straightened.
